Ha’Penny is a very simple game that can be played by more than
two players. If the players are good enough, they can finish it with
as few as nine darts thrown.
The players
race to close the numbers one to nine on the board. Closing a number
means hitting three of that number. In this game, the players are
only allowed strictly three counts to close a number. The extra
points/counts earned while closing a number will go to the opponent.
For example, player A was able to close number one by two doubles.
In this case, there were four points/counts that have been earned.
Since only three counts are needed to close a number, the extra
one count will go to the opponent.
Where there
are more than two players involved, the players must agree on to
whom the extra closing points should be given. It may be given to
the player who shoots next. It may also be given to the player who
needs that point(s) the most. Moreover, the choice may be allowed
to the shooter who made such extra points.
The extra
point(s) is not to be given to an opponent if that would be the
last point(s) he needs to win. The winner is the player who closes
all the numbers first. The numbers may be closed in any order. |
