Mervyn King - Mervyn
King born in 1966 is playing the game of darts since 1979. During
his début at the Embassy in 1997 he reached the semi-finales
and threw the tremendous amount of thirty 180-scores. Mervyn won the
Embassy Gold cup singles and dubbels in 1995. He is now living in
Ipswich . Eric Bristow – He is the
undisputed king of darts! The sport was at its best when Eric Bristow
threw the arrows. He captured his first title when he was 23 in 1990.
From then on, Bristow’s winnings were in a row. In fact, he
won the World Masters five times. According to him, there were only
two things that brought him to his golden years those are his confidence
and the “Crafty Cockney's supreme cockney-ness ”.
Phil Taylor – Following the footsteps
of Eric Bristow, Phil Taylor is now considered as the Greatest Darts
Player of all Time. He started soaring in his career in the early
90’s. Taylor has an extraordinary record of having eight years
without loosing a single match. One of his greatest achievements was
the 2005 Ladbrokes.com World Championship. Bob Anderson
– Also known as the “Limestone Cowboy”, Bob Anderson
has graced the game of darts with 15 years of professionalism. His
outstanding performance has grabbed 16 titles in all including World
Champions Champion 1990, World Matchplay Champion 1988, and International
Champion, Eastbourne 1994-1995. Although in his 50’s, Bob Anderson
still has the strength to climb the rankings and bag another championship
title. John Lowe – “Simply a
Legend!” John Lowe is said to be the first player to hit a perfect
a 9 dart game on television. John has achieved 15 World Open titles
and is continuing to be one of the top contenders in the dart sports.
Aside from being a pro player, John Lowe is the Secretary of the WPDPA
and is a regular writer for a Golf Magazine. Trina
Gulliver – She’s the only rose among the Champions
but she definitely knows how to win. Trina Gulliver is the five time
Ladies World Champion. Trina started playing when she was 14 and became
a pro in 1996. With Winmau Company as her major sponsor for darts
equipment, we will surely see much of Trina Gulliver in the near future
reaping the fruits of her darts expertise. |
