Baseball
is another dart game that can be played by more than two players
or teams. Players must compete to score the most runs in the game.
There are nine prescribed innings to be played.
The rules
for baseball are actually simple. The numbers one to nine on the
board are used. These numbers serve as the innings to be played
for the match. Likewise, they lead the order of playing each
inning – number one is the first inning, two is the second,
and so on. A “run” for this game means landing a hit
on the appropriate inning number.
Players compete
in “batting” for runs by targeting the corresponding
inning number. Hits other than those that land on the appropriate
number do not count as runs. A “double” hit equals two
runs while a “triple” is equivalent to three. Each batting
turn allows for three darts to be thrown. Therefore, a player can
score as many as nine runs in his every turn.
The player
who scores the most runs wins the game. However, players should
remember that the runs here are not counted according to what the
general dart rules on scoring prescribes. The number of runs scored
is not multiplied by the inning number. This means that a “double”
hit, for example, during the second inning doesn’t mean four
runs. It only equals to two. |
