| This
is a fun dart game that involves a good sense of strategizing using
arithmetic. It involves the ordinary rules for darts with some twist
in the scoring. It can be played by more than two players.
Players race
to get the score of 55. The scoring involves an interesting play
of addition and division. In his turn, a player must land three
darts that would yield a score which is divisible by five. The actual
score that will be recorded for him is his ordinary score (the total
of the three darts’) divided by five. Only those ordinary
scores that are divisible by five can be counted.
An ordinary
score refers to the score based on the general scoring system for
darts. Darts that bounce or get stuck unto other darts earn no points.
The double and triple scores also apply.
As an example,
player A shoots his darts scoring a total of 45. In this case he
gets an actual score of 9 (45 divided by 5). However, if the total
score for that turn were 43, no score can be counted since 43 is
not evenly divisible by five.
The players
should be more careful with their shots as they approach 51. If
any of the scores goes beyond 51, a bust is declared. The players
would have to repeat the game then. |
